Andrew Berry Cooked AGAIN: The 2026 Browns Draft Was a Grand Slam

Let me be real with y'all. I didn't want to go offensive lineman with the first pick. I said it publicly. I've been saying for months this team needs playmakers. But you know what? Andrew Berry made me shut my mouth real fast — and I'm not even mad about it.

Here's why the 2026 Cleveland Browns draft was one of the best in franchise history.

Before the draft even got started, Berry engineered a trade-back from pick #6 to pick #9 with the Kansas City Chiefs, banking extra picks in the process — and he STILL came away with the first offensive tackle off the board in Spencer Fano from Utah. Dawgs By Nature You don't lose anything when you trade back AND get your guy. That's called winning twice.

But that was just the appetizer.

With their second first-round pick at #24, the Browns added Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion Yahoo Sports — a dynamic, explosive playmaker who's a weapon after the catch and a legitimate game-changer in the return game. Yes, the drop concerns exist. But you can coach drops. You cannot coach the kind of speed and playmaking ability this kid has.

Then Day 2 hit, and Andrew Berry went full Crocpot mode.

Draft experts across the board said the Browns were absolutely killing the 2026 draft by landing both wide receiver Denzel Boston and safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren. Dawgs By Nature Boston — the enforcer. The bully ball guy. Berry reportedly told him on FaceTime "we want you to bring some bully ball to Cleveland." When I heard that, I was ready to jump in Lake Erie. This franchise has been STARVING for a physical, dominant presence at wide receiver who can go up and get contested balls. Denzel Boston is that guy.

McNeil-Warren, a Toledo safety, recorded 149 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, an interception, 6 passes defensed, and 3 forced fumbles in college. Cleveland Browns He's an Ohio kid. A local product. And the Browns got him in the second round when he could've been gone if they'd reached at any other point. The fact that he was still available at #58 after all the AB maneuvering was the universe rewarding good process.

The full Browns draft class came in at 10 players Dawgs By Nature, including OL depth, LB depth, TWO tight ends, and the wildcard of the class — Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green in the sixth round, a 6-foot-6, 227-pound dual-threat who posted a 4.36-second 40-yard dash and record-breaking combine numbers in the vertical and broad jump. Yahoo Sports Whether he sticks as a QB or eventually moves to receiver like Terrelle Pryor, he's a project worth developing. The Browns' QB room is now must-watch TV heading into training camp.

Now let's talk about the elephant in the room that Cleveland fans are starting to whisper about: Paul DePodesta. For two straight seasons since AB has operated without him, the draft results have looked completely different. More dynamic skill position players. More creativity in the trade room. More willingness to swing big on playmakers. NFL Network's Steve Wyche named the Browns the most improved team in the NFL after just the first three rounds of this draft. Dawgs By Nature That's not a coincidence.

I was in Pittsburgh for the draft. I talked to Steeler fans. I watched their faces when the Browns made these picks. I heard the "damns." I heard the "WTFs." They see it. They don't want to believe it yet — but they see it. When your biggest rival's fanbase is rattled by YOUR draft, you're doing something right.

After the draft, the Browns came out at 250/1 odds to win the Super Bowl according to FanDuel. Dawgs By Nature The work is far from done. We know that. Translating paper wins to field wins is a whole different challenge. But on this day, April 25, 2026, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania — of all places — Andrew Berry put together what looks like back-to-back masterclass drafts and gave Cleveland Browns fans something real to believe in.

This isn't your grandfather's Browns. This isn't the same old hopeful. This team is turning a new leaf, and even the Steelers can feel the wind changing.

Get Off The Field. 🍲
